2. Our Adventure Travel Style
Our holiday packages are designed around adventure, discovery, and authentic local experiences. For this reason, accommodation and transportation may be different from a conventional luxury holiday. During your journey, accommodation may include small locally owned hotels, guesthouses, eco-lodges, or simple village homestays**. Facilities are generally modest and may be limited compared with international standard hotels, but we carefully select accommodations that are **clean, comfortable, and suitable for the destination and style of travel**. In some remote areas, you may have the opportunity to stay in **traditional or local houses within isolated villages**. These stays offer a genuine opportunity to experience local hospitality, culture, and everyday life. Facilities can be basic, and the experience is intentionally simple and authentic. For island and marine adventures, including **Komodo National Park**, we use traditional-style wooden motorized boats and liveaboard vessels adapted for exploration. These boats are designed for adventure travel and provide a practical way to discover remote islands, beaches, snorkeling areas, and marine environments that are not accessible by conventional transport. We recommend that guests choose our adventure-style packages with an open mind and a spirit of discovery, particularly when traveling to remote islands and traditional villages. Raja Ampat & Spice Islands – Liveaboard Experiences For our journeys to **Raja Ampat and the Spice Islands of eastern Indonesia**, Indonesia Flores Tour works with carefully selected local and regional boat operators and other specialized suppliers. These partners provide the vessels and operational services required for activities such as **snorkeling, diving, island exploration, and paradise birdwatching**. The boats and liveaboards available in these destinations vary considerably in terms of **size, design, facilities, cabin categories, layouts, equipment, and overall level of comfort**. Depending on the selected vessel, the experience can range from a simple traditional liveaboard adventure to a more sophisticated **floating-resort experience**. Each vessel is independently operated by its respective boat operator and is subject to the operator's own **terms and conditions, safety procedures, cancellation policies, operational requirements, and vessel specifications**. Indonesia Flores Tour will provide the relevant information available to us regarding the selected vessel and its facilities before or at the time of booking. The nature of marine travel means that itineraries may occasionally be adjusted due to **weather, sea conditions, currents, port restrictions, local regulations, safety considerations, or recommendations from the vessel's captain and relevant authorities.
Our role is to coordinate your journey with the selected operators and help ensure that the arrangements are handled smoothly. However, the operation of the vessel, crew, navigation, and onboard services remains the responsibility of the respective boat operator. Whether you choose Raja Ampat for its extraordinary underwater world, the remote beauty of its islands, the cultural richness of the Spice Islands, or the rare opportunity to observe Indonesia's spectacular birds of paradise, these journeys offer an exceptional way to experience some of the country's most remote and remarkable destinations.
Third-Party Suppliers and Boat Operators
Raja Ampat, Moluccas, spices islands,Lombok to Komodo cruise, Komodo National Park, forgotten islands, Alor and other island destinations in Indonesia. For certain travel services, including liveaboard cruises, diving, snorkeling, birdwatching, transportation, accommodation, and other activities, Indonesia Flores Tour works with **independent third-party suppliers and service providers**. The relevant supplier or boat operator is responsible for the **operation, navigation, vessel condition, crew, onboard facilities, safety procedures, equipment, and delivery of the services directly provided by them**, subject to their own terms and conditions and applicable laws and regulations. Boat operators may have different vessel designs, facilities, cabin categories, safety procedures, layouts, and operational standards. The specific facilities and services available to customers will therefore depend on the vessel and supplier selected for the booking. Indonesia Flores Tour acts as a **travel agent and/or tour operator coordinating these services on behalf of the customer**. We will use reasonable care when selecting and coordinating with third-party suppliers and will communicate relevant information and changes to customers as they become known to us. Where a problem, delay, cancellation, change, loss, injury, or other incident is directly caused by a third party supplier or circumstances under that supplier's operational control, the applicable supplier's terms and conditions and the remedies available under applicable law will apply. Indonesia Flores Tour will, where reasonably possible, assist the customer in communicating with the relevant supplier and in seeking any applicable remedy, refund, or alternative arrangement. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any responsibility or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Indonesian law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights or any liability of Indonesia Flores Tour that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Indonesian law.
Boats in Labuan Bajo & Accommodation in Flores:
Indonesiaflorestour offers a variety of boat styles for exploring its islands and surrounding waters. Depending on the itinerary and level of comfort selected, travelers may choose between *Standard wooden motorized boats and traditional Phinizy-style liveaboards. Riung 17 Islands National Park – Island-Hopping by Traditional Boat Set out on a memorable island-hopping adventure through Riung 17 Islands National Park, traveling aboard a traditional local fishing boat. Cruise across calm turquoise waters and discover a collection of pristine islands, secluded beaches, and vibrant marine landscapes. Along the way, enjoy opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, relaxing on white-sand beaches, and observing the rich marine life that surrounds these remote islands. **Standard Wooden Motorized Boats** These boats are practical and well suited for day trips and island-hopping adventures. Facilities are generally simple and designed primarily for exploring the islands and marine environment during the day. **Phinisi Liveaboards** For a more comfortable overnight experience, we offer traditional Indonesian **Phinisi-style liveaboards**. Depending on the vessel selected, cabins may be equipped with **air conditioning and private or shared bathroom facilities. Different boats offer different cabin categories, layouts, and levels of comfort. Detailed information about available vessels, facilities, cabin categories, and boat specifications can be found in our **Best Liveaboard** section.
Accommodation in Flores:
Accommodation standards vary considerably across Flores, reflecting the island's developing tourism infrastructure and the remote nature of many destinations. **Labuan Bajo**, in westeren tip of Flores, offers the widest selection of internationally oriented hotels and resorts, including higher-standard accommodation with modern facilities. Outside Labuan Bajo, particularly along the central and eastern parts of Flores, accommodation is generally more modest. Travelers may stay in **local hotels, guesthouses, homestays, hostels, bungalows, or family-run accommodations**. Facilities can be simple, but we carefully select properties according to availability, location, cleanliness, and suitability for the itinerary. In the eastern part of Flores, outside **Maumere**, there are also several beach and seaside resorts, although the choice remains more limited than in Labuan Bajo.
We believe that accommodation is part of the journey itself. Staying in smaller hotels, homestays, or locally run properties allows travelers to experience **the authentic character, hospitality, and rhythm of Flores**, particularly when traveling beyond the main tourist areas.
